Doing a screening and background check after moving to Adelaide
Commonly referred to as a police check, there are actually a number of clearances that can be obtained once you have moved to Adelaide to satisfy a wide range of purposes including employment and volunteer work. Getting a police check is very useful as it gets you ready for any openings that may require such a clearance, and may put you ahead of the queue if the opening requires you to start immediately.
The Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) has this link which highlights and explains the different police checks and clearances available including sub-links to the processes involved.
Here is an example of a National Police Certificate which I obtained in 2012 for the purposes of Welcome2Adelaide.
